What is consciousness?

Consciousness has many understandings depending on the tradition you are approaching it from. Whether you are coming to it from a scientific faith, a religious faith, a spiritual faith or a philosophical enquiry, we will be looking at all of these approaches to consciousness on this retreat. 

 

Your understanding of the concept of consciousness has been developed through your own cultural background and personal history. These influences will define how you see the world, others, consciousness and reality. 

 

We will enquire, refine and explore what is consciousness and how it can be manipulated

or not.

The week-long retreat is designed to broaden your understanding and experience of consciousness yogic practices, lectures, open discussions, and mind-altering natural entheogenic substances, psilocybin (magic mushrooms). Over the week the topic of what is consciousness? Where is consciousness? Who am I? What are really spiritual experiences? What are the origins of mystical experiences? Can entheogens enrich our understanding of religions? How do we define reality? What is Reality? Is consciousness generated from inside the brain?  All of these questions will be explored from an over 5000-year-old philosophy and for the latest scientific understanding of neurology.

This is an exposition of consciousness and reality with a highly trained team who have worked with altered states in some of the most reputable places on the planet. Collectively they have decades of experience in this area of spirituality, Reality, love, God and psychology.

 

Led by Charlie Kelly and his team of therapists, psychedelic facilitators and yogis. The whole team is there to keep everyone safe and comfortable while these topics are explored together, answer questions, and help guide your inquiry.

Charlie Kelly: 20 years of playing with consciousness through substances, 18 years of playing with consciousness through hypnosis, 15 years of playing with consciousness through meditation, 10 years of yoga, 6 years with psychedelics and 3 years studying it therapeutically and 2 years academically.

The retreat will be held over 6 days, developing the experience and understanding of consciousness, reality and truth.

Early bird prices start at £870 and go up to £1500 for one week including, food and accommodation. There is a team on hand to look after you and a once in a lifetime experience. Transfers from the "Smart Shop" to the house will be provided. £400 deposit can be paid now to reserve your spot.

The accommodation will be a mix of twins and dorms. These will be allocated to you on arrival. The week is full board.
